Lisa's Review -
This collection of stories is a must read. It is done by 6 truly talented and outstanding writers and they leave you salivating for more.
In Sweet Little Lies by Liz Shulte tells us the story of Femi who is a Schkmet. She also works as a bounty hunter in the Abyss. She learns that she should always trust in her instincts even if they are left in question due to a sad, sob story. Femi finds out that sometimes it is ok to work
with someone when they truly have your back. I would love to see more in the story of Femi in the future, she is a great character that has loads of potential.
Autumn’s Call by Lisa Rayns is a girl who has death on her door and trying to fight it. She meets up with a stranger and thinks they are death coming for her. Death asks her to make one request before accepting her fate. Her only request is to ask forgiveness of the only man that she loved, then she would accept her fate. Autumn is drawn up into the moments and finds out more than she may have bargained for. I would love to see the continuation of Autumn into the next stage.
Tell A Soul by Olivia Hardin is a about a women who felt she has lost everything her husband, her stability and even her mind. Until she takes a job working with children at a group home of sorts. There she meets Langston and finds out that nothing is lost only found. Olivia gives a great base to a story that can captivate you in. This is a making of a
great series.
The Siren Sarina by C.G. Powell was a great book about a Siren who got tangled up in a mess with the Gods of Olympus. She was made to come before Zeus in order to tell her story of what happened and to hopefully escape without any further consequences. This had lots of Greek mythology mixed in
to it to had to the great storyline. I have it on good authority that C.G. Powell will be continuing the story at a latter date.
Fool Moon by Cait Lavender was a great book about Lupine. Calie is a strong Lupine working at a bar when she comes to meet a human by the name of Jack who just happens to be under her father Colonel Jameson at Fort Bragg. The meeting ends up giving him more than he thought was possible and the fact that he accepted the situation as well as he did was remarkable. I would love to see the story between these to into a full length novel.
When Opportunity Haunts by Stephanie Nelson is a bonus story from her Gwen Sparks books. This gives the story of the duel for the heart between Dorian and Gwen. He is moved in with her and trying to train her as the spirit walker that she is along with trying to win her heart. Her body is willing but her mind keeps getting in the way.
All six of these writers are amazing in their own right but together they are a force to be reckoned with. I give this book 30 stars because it is worth 5 stars per story and I am wanting and needing to catch more of these stories in the future if there is more so run not walk to your closest
computer and purchase this book you will not be disappointed.
About Lisa – I am a single mother of a very active 6 year old boy. So just by saying this you know why I need to read. Reading has always been my so called drug of choice. I read several books a day if I can. My typical genre is paranormal, YA, with romance mixed in. If you have vampires, witches, werewolves, or Greek mythology you have me from the start. I fell in love with paranormal with authors such as Christine Feehan Carpathian novels, Sherrilyn Kenyon Dark Hunter novels. Just enough romance mixed into the paranormal.
